The finale of this rivalry resumed at the Eagles nest on Thursday. Game 2 was initially scheduled for Tuesday at Lakes, but got pushed back to Wednesday at Antioch due to poor weather and poor field conditions. After a 4-2 Antioch victory in game 1, the Sequoits took game 2 9-5.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 5-1 lead, and chased Sequoit lefthander Brayden Cecchi after 2 innings. The Sequoits scored 3 runs in the 3rd to cut the Eagles lead to one thanks inpart to back-to-back RBI doubles by Anthony Sacchetti and T.J. Schuyler.
A 2-out RBI single by Brett Sullivan in the bottom of the 3rd, and a 6-run 4th inning which brought up 13 batters put the Eagles up to what appeared to be a comfortable 12-4 lead after 4 innings. All 7 runs came off reliever Quade Moll, who closed out game 1 for the Sequoits.
