The Eagles hosted the Round Lake Panthers in their first conference home game of the year. After a tough loss at Antioch in week 3, the Eagles would pound the rock early and often.
The Eagles led 34-0 at the half. Senior running back Amir Al Hindi got things started scoring from 7 and 5 yards out. Then on a 4th and 17 at the Panthers 27, Max Bausch ran a quarterback keeper to the endzone. On the first play of the following possession Amir Al Hindi ran for 35 yards for a touchdown. Bausch would close out the half with a 2 yard keeper, and added a 29 yard run early in the third quarter to force a running clock.
Amir Al Hindi finished with 14 carries for 142. Max Bausch had 6 carries for 71 yards, and went 2/5 for 22 yards with both completions to Tyson Dewey. Cade Primack, who replaced Al Hindi late in the first half, had 9 carries for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Panthers junior quarterback Easton Nixon went 12/18 for 63 passing yards, 1 Int, 6 carries, and 49 rushing yards. Sophomore receiver Kevin Johnson caught 4 passes for 28 yards.
The Panthers (0-4, 0-2 NLCC) host Grant (1-3, 0-2 NLCC) next Friday, and the Eagles (2-2, 1-1 NLCC) host North Chicago (1-3, 0-2 NLCC).
