On Friday night, the Palatine Pirates took the 58-mile trip to Minooka to battle the Indians. Both teams lost in the 2nd round a season ago, and were looking to get over the hump.

Palatine's offense set the tone immediately. Junior running back Dominik Ball was able to find holes early and often, and he broke several tackles throughout the game. Ball finished with 18 carries for 163 yards and 4 touchdowns, including a 62-yard run at the end of the 3rd quarter. The offensive line did a great job of creating holes for him.

Quarterback Tommy Elter went 15/22 for 279 yards with 1 touchdown (7 yards to Connor May) and 1 interception. The play of Dominik Ball and the Pirate offensive line opened things up in the passing game for Elter and his receivers.

One bright spot for the Indians was running back Joey Partridge. Despite the Indians' struggles throughout the game, the junior running back did finish with 18 carries for 95 yards (mostly in the second half) and 2 touchdowns. He had a 34 yard run in the fourth quarter that set up his second touchdown.

Minooka finishes their season at 7-4, and the Pirates (10-1) advance to the quarterfinals and await their next opponent.
