Sandburg 68 Oakton 63: Nate Hill scores 20 off the bench; duels it out with Delon Zollicoffer-White in the second half
After a slow start offensively, both teams tallied off points in the second half. Owls forward Delon Zollicoffer-White and Chargers guard Nate Hill went back and forth throughout.
Zollicoffer-White finished with 21 points for the Owls. He went 9/12 from the field and he hit all three of his free throws.
Hill had 20 points off the bench, including 2/4 from 3. He hit a key go-ahead bucket to put the Chargers up 62-60 after Owls guard Keimar Marable (7 points) hit a game-tying three.
Owls forward Thomas Sullivan had 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Lake County 64 Black Hawk 59: Marcus Antoine helps lead second half comeback
The Braves came out on fire to start the game. They went on a pair of 10-0 runs in the first half, including one to open up the game.
The Lancers would claw and pound their way back in to the game with the home.crowd on their side. They trailed 36-25 at halftime, but forward Marcus Antoine and company had other plans. The 6-5 Antoine had 17 points and 10 rebounds. He did an excellent job staying strong in the paint.
Braves guard Cameron Rowe had the killer instinct in him Friday night, especially in the second half. He finished with 18 points (6/10 from 3), and hit some big threes that either tied the game, or put the Braves back ahead after the Lancers took the lead.
Randal Holm (14 points, 6/6 free throws) iced the game with 4 free throws. Justin St. Louis finished with 7 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
