The Huskies and Barbs met on a rare Monday night in DeKalb. The two teams met back in December in Naperville, which saw the Huskies win 74-71.

The Barbs were looking to take advantage of the home court this time around, but things didn't quite go as planned. Throughout the first half, they had a hard time converting their shot attempts and trailed the Huskies 23-12 at the half.

The tables turned in the third quarter. 6-4 freshman Davon Grant led a charge that got the Barbs to within 2 after three quarters. After struggling to make his layups in the first half, Grant put together a dominant third quarter scoring 13 of his 18 points in the quarter.

The third quarter surge would not be enough as the Huskies pulled off a 52-46 win on the road.

The Huskies were led by juniors Bryce Welch, and Division I football recruit Luke Williams. The 6-2 Williams was all over the court Monday night as he led the Huskies with 20 points and 6 steals. Welch had 15 points including a big three-pointer to start things off. 6-4 senior Jacob Nolen had 8 points and 6 boards.

DeKalb senior Darrell Island, who has been a constant for them all season long, had 13 points. Sophomore guard Sean Reynolds had 7 points on 2/10 from three for the Barbs.
