The District 117 rivalry renewed Friday night in Antioch. The Sequoits were looking to continue their dominance over the Eagles, who haven't beaten Antioch since 2015.
Fortunately for the Sequoits, their dominance over the Eagles continued with a 41-6 rout, marking the Sequoits' tenth straight victory over the Eagles since 2016.
Three year varsity running back Martin Cohen led the way scoring 5 of the Sequoits' 6 touchdowns. Cohen had 238 total yards from scrimmage, including 216 yards on the ground on 13 carries. He also had 4 of his 5 touchdowns on the ground, and threw a 56 yard halfback pass to Mason Bussone which led to his 14 yard touchdown reception.

Sequoits quarterback Colin Arquilla had the other touchdown for the Sequoits, a 7 yard keeper midway through the fourth quarter, putting the Sequoits up 34-6 at the time. Arquilla went 3/9 for 38 yards, and had 4 carries for 27 yards.
The Sequoits also got contributions from Marcus Macias (10 carries, 63 yards) and Brooks Welsch (4 carries, 19 yards, reception, 16 yards). Between Cohen, Arquilla, Macias, and Welsch, the Sequoits offense finished with 325 yards on the ground.
The Eagles scored their only touchdown at the end of the first quarter with an 8 yard pass from Ean Ankney to receiver Mason Gialo. Ankney went 15/20 for 132 yards, and Gialo caught 6 passes for 73 yards.
The Sequoits (3-1, 2-0) will travel to North Chicago (1-3, 0-2) Friday night. The Eagles (1-3, 0-2) will host Round Lake (0-4, 0-2) for their homecoming game.
