The CCAC Tournament Championship game was held at the Shannon Center on the South Side. During the tournament, the Cougars up to this point beat Governors State by 4, and a talented Indiana Northwest squad by 13. The Titans beat St. Francis by 1, and upset top seeded Olivet Nazarene by 13.
The host Cougars needed to win it without one of their stars, Jaeden King. 6-8 senior, and Peotone grad, Jack Halverson stepped up, and was dominant throughout the first half scoring 16 of his 24 points in the frame.
The Cougars led 35-31 at halftime, but the Titans got a lift from Sam Snodgrass off the bench. Snodgrass hit his first of two threes plus a free throw to put the Titans up 50-48 with 13:02 left. Snodgrass scored all 7 of his points in the second half.
Micah Poole got the Titans lead up to 7 with a three with 6:47 left. One minute later, Cougars 6-6 senior Kevin Bishop completed a three point play to cut the deficit back to 4.
Cedric Johnson hit a layup to make it a 67-65 ballgame with over a minute to play.
Moments after a Titans turnover, the Cougars had a chance to potentially tie or win the game with 0.9 seconds left. Tino Sebalj's three point attempt was blocked by Miles Tracy.

Dejon Barney and Kenny Washington each led with 14 points for the Titans. Barney had 10 rebounds and 3 assists, and Washington had 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Donyell Meredith had 12 points, and went 2/5 from three.
On top of his game high 24 points, Jack Halverson also added 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and a block. TJ Babikir (7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) and Julian Barr (3/4 3-pt) each had 11 points. Cedric Johnson finished with 10 points for the Cougars.
